As Lead UX Designer at Nav.it, I established foundational UX processes and practices that enabled the team to move quickly without sacrificing quality. I created a comprehensive design system that became the single source of truth for the product, which streamlined design consistency, accelerated prototyping, and improved collaboration between design and engineering teams.
Key Initiative: Nav.it's mobile app helped users improve their financial literacy through daily activities while providing a unified view of their financial health. I led foundational user research to understand users' relationships with money. Through discovery interviews and synthesis, I developed five user archetypes spanning unhealthy to healthy money mindsets. These archetypes became our north star for design decisions, helping the team prioritize problems through the lens of user empathy rather than assumptions.
